Hope is on her way

I've done it, after months of slogging trying to find the time to write. I have just uploaded Hope Hawthorn and The Hells Hounds :) to Amazon.

One thing that is worrying me, is that the cover didn't come up on the preview page, but I hope that's just a snag.
If not I will re-upload. maybe the size is wrong.

But how utterly exciting !!

I am so happy with Hope, it feels like a good book, I just hope others agree. There are two more as she had two more years, which will obviously be much more Wolfy, as we see her adjusting to being what she was meant to be...

Good days

Another solid seven thousand words today.
Really good writing today. Two more days till work...sigh.
Had another go at the cover, liking it.

All over a good few days of Hope :-)

Writing frenzy

Have been trying to write as much asks single in the holidays. Today's Thursday and its been hit and miss. I have had hospital appointments, kids things, shopping, dropping of people here and all over lol
It's resembled work were I try and jot down a few words when I can.

Though I'm happy to report yesterday was the best numb bum day yet. I have been re doing and editing the book so far, so reading a chapter and then copying it over. Sow process but getting rid of crap.

The problem was that I am writing a academic year and somehow I have got to Christmas and its taken ages !!!! I need to whittle it down, trying to keep everything important but try and make what I've written over the year.

Though I have found that I don't wanna lose anything. I've done about 70 pages so far and it all seems important . So not a lot is being cut.

I have found the beginning is a little slow but later on it really speeds up and there are some funny bits :)

Okay two days left and disappointingly no fresh writing :/ but at least I am sorting it out.

Need some extra hours for writing...

Hmmm

Am sitting in bed wondering how to get my book out there, I'm twittering, face booking what else is there?
I need to do a little research I think, put my feelers out and see what new tangled technology sites are out there.

I think it is the hardest part, getting your book noticed.
This weekends goal join at least two different sites to promote book.
Well that's the plan if I can fit in to the weekend, still have to walk into shops and look at bridesmaids dresses for Tabbitha, drop her off at her friend for weekend, do the big food shop. Washing -there's always washing, church tomorrow then hopefully putting clothes away.
There must be a melon other things in between too...

Hope

Made a good start on cover last night. Have decided to back to my original idea of a miss-match of items on cover
Tried a map of academy, tried glowing eyes ( all the rage) and some other random ideas.
At that stage in my writing where I've covered too much, there are too many avenues, defiantly will have to give a mega chop!

Day two of the holidays

Well writing Hope I going good
Have made some good progress and decided on something major today
I am going to have chapters I was going to name each one with hopes stress level I.e stress level 8
But in the end I have picked out a little phrase or word from the chapter
Looks good ;)

Amazing flow

I took advantage of the extra hour in bed today by writing- have been up for a few hours no and the flow is so good.
Hopes gift just came to me in the story, wrote its self in while I was writing a scene and it is perfect. She's just found out hell hounds exist :-)

Love writing when it comes naturally and you can find time to write.

Apart for that plan today is to buy some slippers my feet are freezing lol

Free book

Did a free weekend promotional for the bonding and even though I don't really have any means to advertise I managed to give away just under 400 in USA and almost 300 in uk. So that's pretty cool.

Writing

Have been able to do an amazing amount of writing this week- and it's half term next week yay!
To me that's quality writing time as TMA for uni has gone and so I have a week of hope ;-)
Very exciting though have been a little naughty and just writing from the flow from my brain rather than using he plan!

Have already messed up date etc but will sort out, there is something quite liberating when writing as you come up with it.

Anyway two days of work left and then I will be a busy bee :-)


Ooo and have brought in a new guy Jamie stapler Lol may be another live interest - I just stuck on name generator and that's what came up lol I may have to change it.

Back to hope

First time today I have had in a week or so to write hope. Had uni tutor stuff and my TMA which I'm pretty happy with - its due next week

Coral read through the 80 a4 pages of hope and said it was good. One week till half term and some dedicated hope work

The Bonding

have spent hours and hours oo and hours ( 12 hours straight alone yesterday) editing the Bonding and have just uploaded it

god I hope its better now !!!

well been working all afternoon and hours later have managed to do 59 pages.
I'm Happy with that.
Its slow going because I have to read everyword and check the tenses, grammer, spellings missed words etc.
I admit there are quite a lot of changes and its a slow business.
but hopefully by next weekend it will be ready to go up, if I can get enough time to do it!

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, the plot was exciting and unexpected and I was hooked by all the magic and love from the very first page. It is an intriguing idea - the bonding of 2 perfect people for all eternity, to make an amazingly powerful pair - but a very daunting one for a young and confused teenager like Lily to face.

In this book we follow the early lives of Lily and Carne; their perfect marriage, the mesmerising bonding, and the very harsh reality of it all. There were many extreme twists and turns in the plot which caught me off guard completely and left me gob-smacked; resulting in a very exciting and enjoyable read. Also, I felt a great connection with the characters and now love them to bits.

As much as I loved this story, I was fairly annoyed at the vast amount of typos and spellings & punctuation mistakes. Most of the time they were just small mistakes: 'off' instead of 'of', missing speech comas, etc. but they were so many on almost every page and often left me confused and having to re-read the page so I could understand it properly.

Judging on purely the story, I'd say this book was faultless. It was exciting and kept me interested; it was unique and interesting and the characters were simply amazing. However, this book wasn't faultless as it had so many typos and for me that kind-of ruined the whole effect in places.

Nevertheless, this is an inspiring, mind-blowing read full of passion, love, hatred and magic and I would recommend it to all.

am dropping Hope, dropping Endless for the moment and...

Just wrote about Hope and the Halloween dance, so romantic !!! Love writing romance and guys getting together

first kiss

I just wrote the first kiss...awww
This book is so sweet, full of miss read signals, and teenage dreams.

Hope is such fun to write and I'm loving her as a character.
Need to buckle down though, just coming up to half term and has taken over 50 pages, if i keep this up, the book will be a monster...some serious cutting maybe needed at the end !

Negative comment

Last night I had a negative comment on amazon, going on about spellings etc & how I was not a professional writer & shouldn't be selling books.

Was a bit upsetting, I have never said they were perfect & you all know this is my hobby, the thing that transports me to fantasy realms that I share with you. If I wasn't selling books I could understand,

I believe in my books & characters, and I know they need professional help, (books not characters)
god I know, but I also want to share.

I clicked on this persons name and she has reviewed over 200 books , most of what I saw dig at the writer.

A harsh reviewer it seems.
But at least it's not just me huh.

Well I'm not letting her put me off.
Off now into Hope's world of werewolves :-)

Hope is coming along

Have been writing on and off over the last few days and am about 60 pages in. There Is a joy to writing a new book where I am deciding everything about the characters fate, history etc. Deciding how they will act, speak
I love it :-)
With the bonding the characters were well established, real people with personalities that had been developed over time.

One thing apart from keep writing lily instead of hope is that is so much lighter, no love triangle just a group of teenagers experiencing a change in their lives.
It took me ages not to use magic in the books lol, no transporting or quick cups of tea lol
